Lecturer

Myrtho Gardiner is a community-oriented clinical social worker living and working in New York City. He takes pride in his life as a social worker by serving others in various capacities locally and globally. Gardiner has a master’s degree from Smith College School for Social Work and has completed Harvard University’s Global Mental Health Trauma and Recovery Certificate Program in Refugee Trauma. He serves as Vice President of the NYC Chapter of the Association of Black Social Workers, and works at VA New York Harbor Healthcare system as the Veterans Justice Outreach Coordinator. Abroad, Myrtho serves as co-lead of the Mental Health Team for CapraCare Haiti where he assists in developing low threshold mental health programming for the community of Fonfrede, Haiti.
