Adjunct Assistant Professor
Marina Kaneti teaches the International Social Welfare course at the Columbia University School of Social Work. Ms. Kaneti worked on social entrepreneurship and private sector development for both the United Nations Development Programme in 6 countries, on 2 continents. She was responsible for spearheading various local development initiatives including sourcing of local products and supply chain management; designing whether derivative schemes for micro finance and micro insurance; public private sector partnerships and corporate social responsibility outreach. Ms. Kaneti has also provided consulting services for various NGOs and community organizations throughout the world, with focus on funding strategies and self sustainability.
Previously, Ms. Kaneti had worked as an equity trader on Wall Street. She holds a BA in East Asian Studies and MS in Social Enterprise Administration, both from Columbia University. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Political Science at the New School for Social Research.
