Lisa Haileselassie, LCSW is a clinical social worker and the Domestic Violence Coordinator with the Crime Victims Treatment Center (CVTC) at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. Before joining CVTC, Lisa was the Program Coordinator for the Teen Dating Violence Program at the Kings Country District Attorney’s Office and also worked as a Child Protective Specialist at the Administration for Children’s Services. Upon graduating from Columbia University School of Social Work in 2004, Lisa’s focus has been working with survivors of Domestic Violence both clinically and in the criminal justice capacity. Currently at CVTC, Lisa provides both individual and group therapy for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and homicide survivors. Lisa also provides regular trainings for doctors, nurses and support staff at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital on the dynamics of domestic violence, while also educating the medical staff on the protocols for assessing intimate partner violence in medical settings particularly the Emergency Departments. Lisa also sits on various Domestic Violence taskforces throughout the city.
