As a licensed clinical social worker, LaTasha Smith received her Master’s degree In Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and has several years of clinical practice and advanced training. Throughout her career she has consistently worked with survivors of trauma (childhood and adult). Having worked in a variety of outpatient, inpatient, hospital and private practice settings, LaTasha has provided intensive individual and group psychotherapy to children and adults and has experience in treating those with mood disorders, addictions, self-injurious behaviors, eating disorders and trauma.

LaTasha is currently a psychotherapist in a college counseling center located in New York State and maintains a small private practice. She has a passion for learning, teaching and providing clinical supervision and brings a clinical, socio-cultural and anti-racism perspective to teaching. Thus far, she has taught courses on interviewing skills and assessment and field instruction. Additionally, she has supervised a number of MSW students in clinical practicum. LaTasha currently teaches Clinical Case Evaluation with Columbia School of Social Work for the online MSW program.
