Cindy M. Bautista-Thomas
Cindy M. Bautista-Thomas, LCSW, is an Associate Director of Field Education at CSSW where she coordinates internships in schools and aging programs as well as the annual field placement fair. She also teaches the Seminar for Field Instruction and Co-Chairs the Conference Committee for the School Social Work Conference at Columbia, cosponsored by the New York State School Social Worker’s Association. She has over 19 years of social work experience in private child welfare and early intervention agencies, public schools, higher education and research.
Prior to CSSW, Mrs. Bautista-Thomas worked for 8 years for the New York City Department of Education as a bilingual social worker, field instructor, faculty trainer, and student and parent advocate. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Urban Education Program at the CUNY Graduate Center and received her BSW from Stony Brook University and her MSW from University at Albany, State University of New York.
