About the Workshop
Join Danielle Murphy (bio), LCSW SEP, for the first event in a series of two half-day workshops, on May 3 and May 24, focused on somatic healing for social and historical trauma and internalized oppression. Murphy is a psychotherapist with her own private practice in New York City. She has been working with the resolution of traumatic stress for more than ten years.

This presentation will unpack the ways in which historical, intergenerational and social trauma shows up in ourselves and our clients. During this training, attendees will learn why social and historical stressors are a type of trauma, as well as the impact on one’s life. Strategies for identifying the impacts and interventions for supporting our clients will be explored in depth.
