The Racial Justice and Liberatory Practice Series is a sequence mixed self-study and live online courses that explore the historical and modern-day context of racism, white supremacy, and oppression from a systematic and interpersonal perspective. The course emphasizes power and critical reflection on who benefits and who is harmed. All coursework is meant to allow participants to enhance their capacities to take action that challenges oppressive systems such as racism, sexism, classism, ageism, ableism, and heterosexism in the context of social work. Participants will have the opportunity to examine their experiences of privilege and oppression. This course will utilize book chapters, articles, videos, podcasts, websites, discussions, and more as ways of learning, with a focus on theory and action.

Please see the registration page for a list of all courses in the series. Attendees are welcome to register for as many or as few courses as they would like. There are no pre-requisites or series requirements for taking these courses.
