ABOUT THE EVENT
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Center on Poverty and Social Policy (CPSP) has adopted an abbreviated format for its annual 2020 conference: an hour-long virtual keynote and panel on the topic of income support amid the COVID-19 crisis. This year’s keynote speaker, Representative Rosa DeLauro, D-Connecticut, will speak to the COVID-19 federal response and her work with colleagues on income support for the American people, including championing the expansion of the Child Tax Credit. Following her remarks, New York Times journalist Lola Fadulu will lead a panel of CPSP researchers in evaluating the U.S. response to the current pandemic, including potential impacts on poverty rates in the United States and possible future solutions.
